East Lansing is arguably one of the best cities in Michigan and there are so many fun things to do. So grab your significant other and go explore these lovely places
1. 4-H Children's Garden
If you're looking for a cute little place to explore, definitely try out this place. It's a fun little garden with little games and activities throughout. The perfect place to walk around and enjoy some nature. Don't forget to play a song on the musical tiles!
2. Botanical Gardens
This one is another wonderful place to explore if you love nature. Located near the Library along the Red Cedar is a gorgeous garden. Plan a picnic or just walk around, either way, you can't go wrong. Definitely check this place out in the fall when all of the trees are turning colors.
3. Wharton Center
The Wharton Center offers so many cool shows throughout the entire year. Find yourself a date and see shows such as Wicked or Rent. Also, make sure to attend the Haunted Aud. during Halloween weekend for a good scare.
4. Eli & Edythe Broad Art Museum
One of the coolest spots on campus is this art museum. The building itself is so modern, along with everything inside. The art in the museum is always changing so be sure to visit throughout the year. They also host special events such as Welcome Week activities, Drawing Marathon, etc.
5. Abrams Planetarium
The Planetarium offers shows throughout the year and also hosts lectures as well. If you're looking for a more relaxing and educational date, this is the perfect place to go.
6. Munn Ice Arena
Open skate at Munn Arena is a perfect date. Especially in the warmer months of the year, cool down by strapping on some skates and hitting the ice. The arena offers open skate quite often throughout the year.
7. MSU Union Spartan Lanes
Perfect for some flirty competition, the Spartan Lanes located right in the MSU Union makes a perfect date spot. At only $3 per game and $1.59 for shoe rental, this is such an inexpensive date but so much fun.
8. Potter Park Zoo
While this place is a little ways from campus, you should definitely try to make it out there. The Potter Park Zoo is home to many unique an endangered animals that really make the trip worth it.
9. Impression 5 Science Museum
This date destination is another one that helps you channel your inner child. Similar to the Planetarium, this date is also educational but so much fun. Impression 5 is a hands on science museum with all interactive exhibits.
10. River Trail
MSU campus is located on a gorgeous river, with the perfect trail to take a walk on. Plan the date around River Trail and take a walk down, and find somewhere nice to picnic. The beauty of the river makes the walking so worth it.
