10 Country Music Beach Songs
Amanda Sierzega

Country music covers all moods from happy to heartbroken to rockin' out with your friends. But one special mood that this music satisfies is relaxing on the beach.

1. Beachin' by Jake Owen

The song title says it all. Sunshine, blue eyes, tan lines, slow tide rollin', white sand, cold can koozie in my hand, just a summertime strolling, chillin', breazin', sippin', singin' whoaoaoh. Beachin'.

2. Toes by Zac Brown Band

This song is about being on an island beach and not wanting to leave. All you need is to sit with your toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world with a cold beer in your hand.

3. Barefoot Blue Jean Night by Jake Owen

This song talks about nights by a river and a late night bonfire. Yeah, caught in a southern summer, barefoot, blue jean night.

4. Somewhere On A Beach by Dierks Bentley

A break up summer song, but no where near sad. He goes to a beach and is already moving on from the break up and forgetting all about the girl who broke his heart. I'm somewhere on a beach, sipping something strong. I'm getting sun, getting some, and I ain't slept in a week. Yeah, I'm somewhere on a beach.

5. Knee Deep by Zac Brown Band Featuring Jimmy Buffett

Sun, sand, and surf are the three best ways to escape the world. Knee deep in the water somewhere, got the blue sky breeze blowin' wind through my hair, only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair. Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky, never been so happy, never felt so high and I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise.

6. Leave The Night On by Sam Hunt

We'll find a road with no name, lay back in the slow lane the sky is dropping Jupiter around us like some old train. We'll be rolling down the windows, I bet you we are catchin' our second wind. We don't have to go home, we can leave the night on.

7. Water by Brad Paisley

Water is what everyone wants to be near during those hot summer days. Yeah when that summer sun starts to beatin' down and you don't know what to do, grab your swimming trunks, ice up that old igloo and drive until the map turns blue.

8. 19 You & Me by Dan and Shay

This song is all about falling in love on the beach. We had our first dance in the sand it was one hell of a souvenir. Tangled up, so in love so let's just stay right here.

9. Sunny And 75 by Joe Nichols

This is the song that gets me through the cold winter months. You and me on a beach chair yeah, I'm so there every time I look in your eyes. Kissing you and the salt air I can taste it, I swear. Take me somewhere sunny and 75.

10. Feelin' It by Scotty McCreery

Ain't nothin' like feelin' that summertime feelin'. Kicked back, relaxed, just chillin', I'm feelin', I'm feelin' it.Ain't nothin' like diggin' that summertime diggin' in the sand, gettin' tan with your hand in my hand. I'm feelin' it.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
