The Top 10 Country Songs For This Summer

You need these top 10 country songs for your summer playlist:

Luke Combs- Beautiful Crazy

Luke Combs- Beautiful Crazy (Amazon.com)

Whether you're falling for someone, with someone, or trying to find someone. This song gets you in them feelings that make you realize how much love can really have an effect on someone. Luke Combs is already talented enough, and this song placed him on Sirius XM's Number 1 Spot on their New Hits Country Channel called The Highway in their top 30 for the last three months.

Morgan Wallen- Whiskey Glasses

Need a good karaoke song, or a good relaxing song? Trying to get over a broken heart? This is song is good for you, Wallen finally started pursuing a career as a solo artist after writing many top chart hits for big artists like Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town, LANCO, Luke Combs and others.

Justin Moore- The One's Who Didn't Make it Back Home

Justin Moore- VEVO Youtube

On July 4th we celebrate our Independence Day, and we think about all of the men and women who gave their lives for our country, and we celebrate them. This song completely epitomizes on this and doesn't focus on just the military personnel but also other first responders domestically.

Blake Shelton- God's Country

Blake Shelton- YouTube

Working hard? Grinding out the summer? Yup, Blake Shelton gives that feeling in his latest hit, God's Country. The struggle of working in a southern farming town, or the rest of the blue collar community. This song hits in all the right spots, and also its Blake Shelton, the sexiest man alive. Do I need to make any more case for this song?

Dan + Shay- Speechless

Dan+Shay YouTube-VEVO

Dan and Shay are easily the most up and coming Country Artists in this decade. Taking home awards left and right, and just beginning on their debut headlining tour, this song speechless sent them to the TOP of the Billboard Top 100 for about a month last November and has them still in the Top 30 on The Highway on Sirius XM. This song's simplicity and message, as well as the harmonious melody, makes it a good love song.

Luke Bryan- Knockin Boots

Going out on a Friday night? Taking a nice road trip? Well, this hit by Luke Bryan has definitely got you covered in that. A great beat, great lyrics and the one of a kind voice that Luke Bryan has going for him makes this one of the top hits for the summer.

Backstreet Boys- No Place

Backstreet Boys YouTube-VEVO

Yup, I know. No one saw the Backstreet Boys coming back, let alone going COUNTRY! What a shocker, yet this song shows the harmonies and melodies that the Backstreet Boys were famous for nearly 20 years ago in the 1990s. This song in its simple nature and family meaning makes it a bop. Yet there is still more coming from them later this year. Does this mean that they are going to change their name to the Backroad Boys?

Jake Owen- Down to the Honkeytonk

Jake Owen YouTube-VEVO

There has not been a sound like this since the beginning of Garth Brooks in my opinion. This song reminds us to be humble and remembers where our roots are. Yet this number 1 hit earlier in 2019 continues to be the top song for Jake Owen, both in Downloads and YouTube hits. It has also made an impact on Spotify as well.

Jason Aldean- Rearview Town

iTunes- Jason Aldean Rearview Town

Moving on isn't always hard, especially when you do it fresh out of college, or out of a new job, or transitioning from one aspect of life or another. Jason Aldean really shows this in this hit. Moving on is meant to be hard but it can be a good thing. This song is still trending upwards on The Highway from Sirius XM as well as the Country Pop Channel on Pandora.

Dan+Shay- Tequila

Dan+Shay YouTube-VEVO

The Number 1 Song for over 6 months on Sirius XM, Pandora and Spotify and easily their most popular song, even over Speechless. Dan+Shay struck gold with their number one hit Tequila. Again with a sweet simple melody and a great message, the song continues to be an award winner as the duo won the CMA Award for Best Song of the Year with it. They hope to have continued success with the song in the coming year.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
