So I recently binged "Vikings" on Hulu; it's a History Channel show, so you can expect the historical accuracy to be a close approximation of the actual Viking culture, even if it's heavily fictionalized. Now, this is a list of things to pay attention to as you move through the series, because they actually have a good bit of significance to the story line, culture, and/or a specific character's traits.

I want turn this show into a lengthy drinking game. However, unless you're buckling down for a seven-hour marathon with your friends, don't expect to get through more than a beer and a half (maybe two) an episode if you dare to take up the challenge. When you see any of the following entries on this list, grab your nearest alcoholic beverage (be it beer or a mixed drink) and take a swig. That's it!

I would say there's an EXTREME mode: Take a shot every time you see any of the following entries, but I fear for your liver, and no one wants to see you in the hospital.

So grab a couple friends, drink, and marathon it up. You'll be yelling "Valhalla" before you know it!

1. Ravens.

Every time a Raven appears, some kind of knowledge is imparted to the character who sees it.

2. Ragnar beats Rollo.

Living in your younger Brother's shadow can't be easy.

3. Thunderstorms.

Signifies Thor's displeasure with the Northmen.

4. Ragnar Lothbrok fathers a new son.

Just count them. I swear it seems like a never-ending stream!

5. A character rises in rank.

Someone earns or is gifted the title Earl/Jarl, King, Duke, Count, etc.

6. Vikings get new tattoos.

As the Viking warriors win battles, their tattoo collections grow.

7. Ragnar does the impossible.

Who'd have thought to lift the boats over a cliff?!

8. A character second-guesses their religion.

How many times will Aethelstan don his monk's robes?

9. Time-jumps.

Unexplained, just new actors responding to old names... generally timed at the end of the season... or beginning.

10. Visions from the god(s).

Of which there are many.

11. Floki betrays someone in the name of the gods.

We get it Floki, your passion is for the Gods alone, and maybe Helga.

12. An alliance is broken.

These pacts are as stable as sandcastles.

13. The Northmen sail west.

It's simply never been done before! Right. About that...

14. A character licks the seer's hand.

Yep, just as weird and gross as it looks. Oddly enough, you get used to it.

15. A character cheats on their spouse.

Fidelity isn't quite so important, apparently.

Drink up, everyone.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
