Never kick yourself for forgetting socks ever again!

10 Common Things We Forget To Pack When Traveling

Calling all travelers! There aren’t many worse feelings than forgetting to pack essential belongings. Well, never have fear of this ever again! I have the perfect checklist for you right here, so you don’t have to experience that I-forgot-something stomach drop ever again.

1. Sunglasses

Traveling usually involves a lot of sightseeing…and certainly, on sunny days it’s difficult to get the real experience when sun rays blind your eyes. And who wants to run to a store to buy an ugly orange temporary replacement pair for $15? Not me, thank you.

2. Underwear

Somehow, something we wear every day sometimes doesn’t make it into the bag. Also, remember to bring enough! They’re small and light, so don’t be afraid to overpack. Socks, too. Don’t forget socks — same type of deal.

3. Headphones

They're essential for a bus, plane, train etc. Joe Blow right next to you may not appreciate Kendrick’s album as much as you do.

4. A snack

Hunger and travel when there is no way to get any food is a horrible combination. Bring a granola bar or two!

5. Chargers/outlet converters

Many devices means many chargers. Make sure they’re all in check! Also, if you’re going abroad, make sure you know which types of outlets they use so you can bring converters.

6. Bathing suits

Of course, this is super important if you’ll be on the coast or at a lake or anywhere involving water, but it’s always smart to have one just in case even if you aren’t going to any of these types of places. Who knows what types of water activities you’ll run into!

7. Medication

Aleve, NyQuil, Tums etc. You never know what you might need. Oh, and prescriptions! You definitely can’t stop at the closest store and pick those up.

8. Sweatpants/comfy clothes

After a long day of enjoying copious adventures, nothing is worse than not having comfortable clothes to slip on, so don’t forget the sweatpants and crewnecks!

9. Laundry bag

This one isn’t as significant, but I’ve found it to be pretty helpful! It makes it much easier separating clean from dirty clothes, plus it keeps them organized and out of the way.

10. Passport/identification

You’re not going out of the country without a passport. You can’t buy certain things without an I.D. Do yourself the biggest favor and DO NOT FORGET THESE.

Traveling is supposed to be a positive experience; don't cause yourself any stress because you didn't double (or triple) check when packing!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
