Life can wear you down and problems can be painful, but my faith keeps me afloat when I’m struggling. Reading through the Bible offers me comfort and hope when all else seems to be falling apart, so here a few verses that comfort me and hopefully will comfort anyone who's struggling in life.

  1. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
  2. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1
  3. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4
  4. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. 2 Corinthians 1:5
  5. O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart. 1 Kings 8:23
  6. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
  7. Hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Hold Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:5
  8. Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father’s Son, in truth and love. 2 John 1:3
  9. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rules, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
  10. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. Colossians 1:11

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.
