10 Signs You're A College Student

And unfortunately, some of them are true.

10 Signs You're A College Student

You know you're a college student when...

1. You felt free when you first started college.

You're away from home and your parents, meaning you're in charge of setting your own rules now. It can't get better than that, right?

2. Then you realize that college isn't all like the movies made it seem like at all.

Eventually, the honeymoon stage will be over. You'll start trying to plan fun events to attend to but your list of responsibilities will stop you and remind you that you have to adult instead.

3. You and your group of friends have all considered joining the stripper business because we're all broke and hate it.

We all considered it one time in our life. Don't deny it.

4. You'll hate yourself for signing yourself up for those 8am classes.

You can thank your 8am class for naturally turning yourself into this year's halloween costume. A walking zombie.

5. You'll get homesick and call your parents to come visit you or send you home.

Seeing your friends and family posting photos and updates on Facebook from home will make you feel like you're missing out. But don't be too sad, they miss you and thinking about you too.

6. You've walked around campus in your pajamas or the same clothes you wore the day before.

Sometimes, it's just one of those days you know?

7. You're rocking the new designer bags that college handed you, the "I got less than 5 hours of sleep eye-bags."

And we can't remember the last time we got a decent amount of sleep.

8. You can't remember the last time you had "real" tasty food.

As much as we love how close the campus dining place is, it'll never match the home-cooked meals.

9. You're living off of the free pizza and the free t-shirts your campus are giving away to avoid spending more money on food and on laundry.

Save money, live better.

10. You make stupid decisions here and there but that's alright because that's what college is all about.

Whether it's locking yourself out of the dorm (one too many times), forgetting your wallet, sleeping past classes, partying out too late, impulsive purchases, falling down the stairs, etc., you'll learn from your mistakes and you'll know better time.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
