In order to help you truly maximize the college experience without worrying about the little things, I've put together a list of tiny but mighty life hacks designed to make everything just a smidge easier. Every little bit helps, right?
1. An easy--and delicious--form of bug-be-gone
Keep mosquitos away from your bed by placing a cinnamon tea bag underneath your bed. As a bonus, it'll make your sleeping quarters smell like Christmas year-round.
2. Save that money
Got an almost empty toothpaste tube but too broke to buy a new one just yet? Roll up the end of the toothpaste tube and squeeze it out.
3. For easier Netflix watching
Construct a simple tablet hanger using 3M command hooks.
4. Clean as a whistle
Get dust and crumbs from last night's snack session out from inside of you computer by running an old Post-It between the keys of your laptop's keyboard.
5. Avoid lock-out trauma
Use rubber bands along the inside of a your doorjam to keep the door from latching.
6. Free Febreeze
Does your dorm smell bad? Tape a dryer sheet over the AC unit and turn it on.
7. The ultimate winter hack
Want to waterproof your shoes? Coat them with a layer of beeswax.
8. A networking must
Take a picture of the business cards that people hand you just in case you lose them.
9. Fresh dressed, fresh pressed
When ironing a button-up shirt, flip it inside-out to easily iron on the buttoned side.
10. Trash treasure
Put old newspaper at the bottom of your trash can absorb food juices.
