It's finally summer and if you're anything like me, you are ready to soak up some sun... and some booze. After a long, cold school year, I'm ready to start sippin'. So grab a mason jar and a lawn chair and check out some of these summer cocktails! (Click on link for full recipe).

1. Sex on the Beach

Ingredients: 1 1/2 ounces vodka, 3/4 ounce peach schnapps, 2 ounces orange juice (or pineapple juice), 2 ounces cranberry juice, and an orange slice and maraschino cherry for garnish.

2. Kiwi Mai Tai

Ingredients: 3 ounces pineapple juice, 2 ounces kiwi or kiwi blend juice, 1.5 ounces dark spiced rum, 1.5 ounces coconut-flavored rum, 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup and ice. Fresh pineapple, kiwi and maraschino cherries for garnish.

3. Watermelon Lime Margarita

Ingredients: 1.5 cups fresh watermelon juice, 3-4 ounces tequila, 1 ounce triple sec, lime juice, 15-18 watermelon ice cubes (optional but recommended), and margarita salt for lining rim (optional).

4. Blue Kamikaze

Ingredients: 1 ounce vodka, 1 ounce blue curacao, 1 ounce lime juice and fill with ice.

5. Smashed Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail

Ingredients: 2 ounces Triple Sec, 2 ounces Limoncello, 1 handful of raspberries, juice of two lemons, club soda and raw sugar.

Instructions: Muddle your fruit - add a handful of fresh raspberries and a sprinkle of raw sugar to the bottom of a glass. Use a muddler or a wooden spoon to smash your fruit until it has the appearance of jam. Add the Triple Sec, Limoncello and lemon juice to your glass. Add ice. Top if off with club soda and give it a quick stir.

6. Tequila Sangria

Ingredients: 2 to 3 pineapple slices, 2 to 3 orange slices, 2 to 3 blackberries, 2 to 3 lime wedges, 2 ounce tequila, 1 ounce elderflower-flavored liqueur, 1 ounce simple syrup, 2 ounces pineapple juice, splash of orange juice, ice and red wine, as needed.

7. Mermaid Lemonade

2 cups ice, 1/4 cup Blue Curacao, 1 cup white rum, 2 cups lemonade, Lemon Slices and Maraschino cherries for garnish.

8. Rosé Sorbet

2 cups rosé (divided), 1 1/4 cups sugar, 3 cups frozen raspberries, 1/2 cup fresh raspberries.

9. Rum Sunset

12 ounces orange juice, 3 ounces light rum, 2 tbsp. grenadine.

10. Blueberry Mojito

10 fresh mint leaves, 2 tsp. sugar, 1 cup fresh blueberries, 4 ounces light rum, 3 limes, 6 ounces club soda.

Whether you're sippin' by the pool, lake, ocean, or just outside... remember to drink responsibly!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.
