Decorating Easter eggs is fun no matter how old you are. Most of us grew up with the classic "dye and dry," and if we were skilled enough, we could dye a single egg with two different colors. With Easter right around the corner, here are some festive and fun ways to decorate eggs this year.

Confetti

You can decorate these eggs any way you want. Mix and match, or just go crazy. Square confetti or circles? The possibilities are endless. They add a pop to any Easter basket and scream, "Welcome Spring!"

Foil

To add a bit more flare to your Easter, go for a foil layover. It's classy yet cute. Once again, you don't have to stick to a strict pattern. Every egg can be something different and fun.

Silk Pattern

For anyone who wouldn't mind cutting up their nice silk ties, these eggs are for you. Wrap squares of silk around each egg and secure with string before boiling. Everyone will be in awe over your decorating skills.

The Original Dye

Dye your eggs, your hands, the counter and the dog. For classic Easter eggs, go with the store-bought dye kit. It never gets old.

Color Scheme

If you're in the mood for all of your eggs to have a similar color but different designs, this is the way to go. At a glance, the eggs look the same, but up close, each one is totally different, which makes this decorating style so fun.

Monogrammed

Preppy eggs - need I say more? Who doesn't want their initials on at least one Easter egg? I mean, the Easter Bunny clearly gives the most candy to best decorated eggs.

Chalkboard

This is a fun design for little kids, and if they (or you) mess up, just erase and start over. Piece of cake.

Animal

These eggs are by far the cutest. How can you resist those faces? Animal decorated eggs take the classic dye eggs a step further. They also make great center pieces.

Emoji

Just in case you need to put some more emotions into Easter and egg decorating, these eggs are for when you have no words to express just how excited you are that the Easter Bunny left you a giant chocolate bunny.

Glitter

This style is so pretty, and once again, you can decorate each egg differently, yet they all end up matching. Look to combine glitter, confetti and foil eggs for some upscale, high-end looking eggs.

Have fun!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever.
