1. Elf
This hilarious classic starring Will Ferrell tells the story of Buddy the elf. Buddy finds out that he is actually human and goes on a quest to find his father in the Big Apple. This comedy is definitely the most quotable movie you will watch all holiday season.
2. The Polar Express
This heartfelt movie tells the tale of a young boy who embarks on a journey to the North Pole on the Polar Express. The boy learns many lessons on his journey including the true meaning of Christmas. This is a holiday classic that parents and kids of all ages will enjoy.
3. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
This is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies. It tells the hilarious story of Griswold family Christmas and shows that the most memorable holidays are not the one's that go as planned.
4. It's A Wonderful Life
It's A Wonderful Life is a classic Christmas story that has been recreated time and time again due to it's extreme success and popularity. It tells the story of a struggling business man who, with the help of an angel, learns what life would be like if he never existed.
5. A Christmas Story
This film tells the story of a young boy named Ralphie and his quest for the ultimate Christmas gift, a Red Ryder B.B. Gun. This movie is a great example of the unconditional love between parents and children.
6. Four Christmases
This hilarious movie tells the story of an unconventional couple who attempts to skip Christmas and ends up agreeing to attend 4 separate Christmas celebrations. It has both heartfelt and comedic moments.
8. The Santa Clause
All of The Santa Clause movies are Christmas classics that I find myself watching year after year. After accidentally knocking Santa off his roof, Scott Calvin must become the new Santa in the start to a classic holiday series.
9. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
This holiday classic tells the tale of a Grinch who plans to steal Christmas from all the Whos in Whoville and spoil their holiday fun. He learns after stealing all the gifts and decorations that material possessions are not the true meaning of Christmas and changes his ways.
10. A Christmas Carol
This film tells the story of a bitter old man named Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas night, the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. These ghosts help him to transform into a kinder old man who once again enjoys the holidays.
