During Christmas Break, a lot of college students (including myself) tend to get lazy and only want to sleep all day. However, there is plenty for you to do over Christmas Break. Here are 10 things that you can do over break if you need any ideas.

1. Spend Time with Friends

This will give you time to catch up with them and see how their experience in college is different from yours. You can also talk about the good days or even the bad days in high school.

2. See a New Movie that is Out

Most of the best films are released during the holiday season (like the new Star Wars). It is a great time to go see new movies because you have a lot of free time.

3. Have a Christmas Party/Go to a Christmas Party

This is the time to spread holiday cheer with friends or family while having fun with those special people in your life.

4. Spend Time with Family

You haven't seen them in like a month or so, so why wouldn't you spend time with them?! This gives you and your family time to talk about things that you have missed when you weren't there.

5. Exercise

Start your new year resolution a few weeks early by exercising regularly during the break. This will keep you healthy and happy during break. Also the Christmas dinner food won't affect you as much if you already are exercising.

6. Bake Christmas Desserts

Doing this will get you in the holiday spirit. Bake cookies, cakes, or pies. Your house will be filled with a delicious aroma of great desserts. Also, this will be a great thing to do on your cheat days.

7. Look at Your Schedule for Next Semester

This will get you familiar with your classes and your professors. It will help you be ready to kill next semester with great grades as well.

8. Go Christmas Caroling with Family and Friends

By caroling with your family and friends, you will spread cheer to strangers who might actually need the holiday cheer.

9. Go See Christmas Lights

This is a great thing to do! You get to see other people's yards filled with amazing light displays. Or other people who go overboard when it comes lights, but its still very cool to see.

10. Volunteer at Shelters or Soup Kitchens

Serving your community is a very good thing to do over your Christmas Break. You will be spreading cheer to those less fortunate than you. Also, you will give them great joy by doing this great deed.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
