Divorce is prevalent in our society. That is an indisputable fact. Although rates have been steadily dropping since 2000 (along with marriage rates... just saying), it is still true that for every 1,000 population 3.2 people are divorced. With those statistics, there are plenty of children who grew up in divorced households. Sorry I started this article by throwing a bunch of melancholy facts at you, but it's not all bad. Children who grew up in divorced house holds know that good comes with the bad. Yes, its super annoying when you forget something and have to go back to the other house to get it, yes living out of a suit case is stuffy; HOWEVER, you also get really amazing step parents (shout out to my stepmom!) and amazing new

2) When you forget something at the other parents' house
3) Scheduling when you're super duper busy all the time
4) "Why don't you have the same last name as your mom?"
5) The explanation of your family tree
6) Introducing your s/o to both families
7) Two Christmases!
8) Getting one or two more parents who are usually awesome and support you in life
9) Adorable little siblings
10) A whole bunch more family to love you!
As any child from a divorced family will tell you, the last four items on this list make up for the scheduling, packing, and complicated family trees.
