Shout out to Leslie Knope for showing people what it's like to be a great person.

1. She cares

There are a lot of words that could be used to describe Leslie Knope, but caring is the first one that comes to my mind. She would do anything for her friends and her community and that makes her a great human being.

2. She's hilarious

There have been multiple times where I am laughing out loud for a while because of a joke or situation that Leslie puts herself in. She doesn’t take life too seriously and is able to make fun of herself, which is an admirable quality.

3. She never takes no for an answer

Leslie is strong and courageous and will fight for what she wants no matter what.

4. She stands up for what she believes in

This point goes along with the last point, but Leslie Knope is firm in her beliefs and will stand up for those beliefs. I think that it is so important to know what you stand for, and Leslie is a great role model.

5. Strong appreciation for breakfast food

Breakfast food is the best meal of the day and Leslie will eat 10 waffles at any point of the day. That is why she is the ultimate human.

6. Mentally Tough

No matter who gives her crap about what she’s doing for the city or her policies while she’s in office, she never backs down.

7. Friendship comes first

She loves her friends so so so much and would do anything for them. She gives them care packages, tells them how wonderful they are, and cares about them more than they know.

8. She dedicates 100 percent of herself to what she loves

Leslie loves nothing more than helping the community and making people happy. She wants to do it every minute of every day, and that makes her the great person she is.

9. She cares about herself and her well being

Even though Leslie is busy all the time, she still knows when she needs to take time out for herself.

10. She's enthusiastic about life

Leslie is just excited about living life. Things may be hard in her life, but she is still excited to her job and form new relationships.

Thanks for being you, Leslie.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
