Lists like this have been done to death, but there can never be enough of these. Here are ten cartoons that should be revived, either with a continuation series or a spin-off, a good spin-off. According to personal preference, here are the top ten counting down from ten:
10. "Dexter's Laboratory"
This is a show that was brought back once after cancellation, but a show based in the future would be interesting. It would be interesting to see Dexter, Dee Dee and Mandark in high school or maybe even college. Who knows what kind of antics they could get into?
9. "Robotomy"
"Robotomy" is a show that never really got off the ground. It only lasted ten episodes and holds the record for being Cartoon Network's shortest-running original series. This show seemed to have potential and it would be great to see that potential being realized.
8. "Justice League"
It's been a while since we've gotten a "Justice League" spin-off series, not counting "Young Justice," which was mostly based around the sidekicks instead of the heroes. A new show starring Green Lantern, Batman, Superman and the others could spice things up in the cartoon world since it's lacking good superhero shows at the moment.
7. "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends"
While this show did end on a strong note, you can't help but wonder, what other imaginary friends could be thought of? What other shenanigans could Bloo and everyone else get involved in? It would be wonderful if these thoughts were explored a little bit.
6. "Samurai Jack"
This one was already promised, but it was included on this list because it's long overdue. Not to mention after how some other Cartoon Network spin-offs have gone lately, you have to wonder if "Samurai Jack" will fall victim. There is hope, though, since this is a new season, not a new spin-off. Not to mention, this season will be made by the original creator of the show. So, there is definitely hope for this one.
5. "Danny Phantom"
While this show has an ending, there were still some loose ends that needed to be tied up. Therefore, one more season of "Danny Phantom" wouldn't be a bad idea.
4. "Courage the Cowardly Dog"
This show had a set finale, but it felt like the show didn't end on a proper note. They could come up with a better finale for a show like this.
3. "Teen Titans"
Yes, there already is a "Teen Titans" spin-off, but it's not exactly what the fans of the show wanted. This is another show that ended when there were still some loose ends to tie up. "Teen Titans" should have one last season of its original series to end things properly.
2. "Clone High"
This show was cancelled at the worst possible moment in the worst possible way. It was cancelled after its first season due to low ratings and hunger strikes in India due to depictions of Gandhi's character. The show was planned for five seasons, but the other four seasons were never made. Not to mention, this is another show that ended on a cliffhanger.
1. "Invader Zim"
At the top spot, we have a prime example of a show that was cancelled too soon. "Invader Zim" was cancelled after the first episode of its second season back in 2002. There were Season 2 episodes that had been made, but they weren't originally going to be aired. However, in 2004, the completed episodes of the season were released on DVD. These episodes were finally aired on television in 2006, four years after the series' cancellation. The show had become so much of a cult classic that Nickelodeon had no choice but to give the fans more. Unfortunately, Season 2 was never finished and the television film that was going to be made to end the series was never made. Hopefully though, sometime in the future, "Invader Zim" will make some sort of return.
