10 Things That Are Bound To Happen At Thanksgiving

Everyone around the country has different traditions for the holiday of Thanksgiving. In my family, we have all of our cousins in a big venue where we all get-together and enjoy each other's company. Most consist of eating around a table talking about what we are thankful for, often with family or close friends. A lot has gone on this year and there are endless possibilities of what could happen during this family holiday for families all over but here are a few:

1. The discussion of politics (this could get ugly)

2. "Do you have a boyfriend yet?"

3. "So, what are you doing with your life?

4. "Aren't you too young to drink?"

5. Someone gets too drunk (most likely the person who asked you the question above)

6. "I see all your pictures on Facebook of you in college"

7. "Is that your third plate of mashed potatoes?"

8. When someone starts bashing the team you know your dad loves like a fourth child

9. Not knowing if you want to sit with the kids or the adults so you chose neither and sit alone

10. That one family member that takes holidays WAY too seriously trying to get everyone together

Happy Holidays everyone!!!!!!

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
