Summer offers you a break from school, but during this same season you are suddenly handed an almost overbearing amount of free time that you are no longer used to. How do you spend that time? Personally, during my breaks, I try to catch up on all of the reading time that I had lost under piles of notes and essays. Below are 10 of my favorite Wattpad books, all free and found on the website (or app) Wattpad. If you aren't interested in any of the ones I have listed, don't be afraid to go check out the website and find something that suits you! There are thousands upon thousands of original books, published by a wide variety of people at different reading/writing levels.

The unlikely pair manage to strike a deal, and they soon hit the road together, but it takes a whole lot more detours than normal, considering both have no sense of direction, a broken GPS, incurable insomnia, and ultimately heavy baggage.
In a race against time, two misguided teens will reunite in an adventure of a lifetime, from posing as British tourists to to sleeping in a gas station to being arrested for vandalizing a state park. Together, they'll learn to overcome pretty much every random thing that comes their way...because they really don't have a choice."
2. "The Color of Darkness" by Andrew Knight
"Irrepressible.
Extraordinary.
Indestructible.
Her name is Nova, like the muscle car, or a supernova, and she is a cosmic hurricane in Puck's world. She swears, drinks, lives among the stars, and he can't help but fall hopelessly in love with her. Is it love? Infatuation? Enamoration? He's not sure if he'll ever find out. He is sure, however, that the only thing that can understand one broken heart is another.
The Color of Darkness is a published novel that will be available on Wattpad for a limited time!"
3. "Just the Highlights" by tangles-
"Elliot and Julia have a complicated relationship. Since they met in the seventh grade, the only heart-to-heart conversations they've had have been strictly over text. But they don't mind this lack of intimacy. If anything, they enjoy it.
Don't think that this lack of heart-to-heart conversations mean they haven't had some, how should we say, interesting moments. Such as when Julia lost her virginity to Elliot. Yes, you read that correctly. It's a long story. It was just one time. Actually, it was four times. In one night. Once in the morning too. But it was just on one occasion. Okay, two occasions. It's a really really long story.
Basically this is just a long story of two people with a complicated, never fully defined, relationship. Well, it's not exactly the full story. This is just the highlights."
4. "101 Ways to Save a Life" by reflectives
"Where Lyla James lives 101 lives, in all of which she chances upon Haiden Lucas and is convinced of their mirrored hearts and unbreakable connection, only for him to die, leaving her to live another lifetime without him."

6. "This is Why" by flowershapedstars

Or not."
This is the story of Phoebe and her first heartbreak. This is also the story of her restoration."
7. "Stardust" by k.parker
"Jake Gallagher has always lead a particularly average life outside of the antics of his unconventional family. Average grades, average friends, and the average teenager's aversion to familial embarrassment, until his life takes a turn for the unexpected. Because sitting three rows and catercorner from Jake in his astronomy class is Skylar Glass. The insightful, attractive, interesting, starry-eyed juvenile delinquent, whose existence exceeds average in Jake's opinion. Skylar introduces Jake to the other side of life, gives him a new reason to look at the sky, and leaves a trail of stardust that prevents Jake's existence from ever being average again."

Deciding to make the best she can out of it, she dives head first into the glitz and glamour that makes Meilleur...well, Meilleur.

10. "A Note a Day" by Sophie Claflin
"Anxiety-ridden, nightmare expert Charlotte 'Charlie' Jackson has been receiving witty, heartwarming, anonymous notes since the beginning of her school year. One afternoon, she notices she did not find a note for the first time all year, and suddenly gets the urge to figure out who writes them, and why they have been writing the notes to her.
However, being her awkward, antisocial self, she can't bring herself to question anyone about them. As Charlie narrows down her list of possible note writers, she befriends her three suspects: Shane Marshall, Malcolm Dawes, and Theodore Higgins.
While Charlie deals with the nagging question of who writes her the notes, she experiences late night phone calls, memorable sleepovers, and kisses from a boy who reminds her of the sea and the stars."
