As fall semester is coming around, there are going to be times where you need some down time to relax from your class work. What better way to do that than to cuddle up in bed and watch some Netflix?

1. That 70's Show

That 70's Show follows the lives of 6 high school students in Wisconsin during the 70's. The show is hilarious and has sarcasm and wit like no other show. The times in Eric Foreman's basement are worth watching over and over and over again!

2. The Inbetweeners

This British comedy is about 4 school boys in England and their inappropriately hilarious adventures. Each of the boys has very distinct personalities that tend to clash despite them being best friends. While parts of the show will make you cringe, other parts will leave you in tears laughing.

3. Shetland

If you like murder mysteries, this is your show. It's set in a small Scottish town and the murders that happen. The main characters are serious but not like many other murder-mystery shows out there. The drama is rather understated, which makes watching it much more enjoyable to pay attention to the plot rather than anything else.

4. Weeds

What's not to love about a soccer mom that sells weed? Once you start watching this show, you won't want to stop for anything.

5. Shameless

It's difficult to find someone who doesn't watch this show already, but if you haven't by any chance, you need to watch it now. The crazy Gallagher family is one you do not want to miss out on, so go check it out and binge-watch it one weekend when you just don't feel like going to the bar.

6. One Tree Hill

It's cliche, I know, but One Tree Hill is a classic. The show is about the Scott Brothers and basketball, which may not sound as interesting at first, but it's so much more than that.

7. Pretty Little Liars

Since the show just ended its 7th season on the air, there is no better time than now to binge watch this addicting show!

8. Stranger Things

If you start watching now, you're guaranteed to finish the first season of this spooky show before the second season comes on October 27th! It follows the story of four boys, one who goes missing, and one extra special girl who helps find their friend.

9. Gilmore Girls

No other show puts me in more of a fall mood than Gilmore Girls! Snuggle up in bed with some coffee and watch the crazy drama and fast talking in Rory and Lorelai's lives!

10. Jane The Virgin

Set up like a humorous soap opera, you will fall in love with Jane, as well as her friends and family, so quickly. Also, her and Rafael are meant to be together. Not Michael. Just my personal opinion.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
