10 Of The Biggest Pet Peeves

Everyone has a pet peeve. Here's a list of my top 10.

1. Broken nail. You love your full set when you get them done, but if a nail breaks before your next fill... well, that's annoying.

2. Snoring. This has always been one of my top pet peeves. There's nothing more annoying than a person snoring when you're trying to fall asleep.

3. Obnoxious nose blowing. There's always that one person that blows their nose way longer than they need to.

4. Toothpaste in the sink. I mean seriously? It's not that hard to rinse out the sink when you're done brushing.

5. When someone behind you in class taps their foot on your chair and makes your whole desk shake. I know this always annoys me.

6. When someone corrects your spelling. This is also one of my biggest pet peeves. It's not even just spelling — grammar or any corrections at all. Like, OK, I made a mistake, but thanks for bringing attention to it.

7. When people leave candy wrappers in the candy bowl. With Halloween just ending, my roommates and I still have a candy bowl in our room and I hate going to grab some chocolate and finding millions of wrappers in the bowl.

8. Dumb questions. They always tell you in school that there's no such thing as a dumb question, but we know that's not true.

9. Tangled cords or jewelry. No matter how hard you try, it always seems impossible to get the knot out.

10. When people don't know the words and still try to sing the song. This has to be my No. 1 pet peeve... But this is actually kind of funny, too, because it just turns into mumbling.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
