10 Bible Verses To Remember When You Believe All Hope Has Been Lost
Boss Fight

With all the craziness that has been happening all over the world, it’s easy to think that all hope for humanity has been lost. From shootings all around the world to terrorist attacks to peaceful protests gone bad it, seems as if it’s not going to get better anytime soon. It could even be something more personal and close to the heart like a friend or family member lost in a tragedy, you getting let go from your job, or even the uprooting of a family. But, in the midst of all this chaos, we have to remember that there is someone up above who has a plan and has had a plan all along. He is there to guide us, comfort us and protect us during these tough times even if it’s hard. Here are 10 bible verses to remember in times of need and when you need a reminder that there is still hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

“’For I know the plans I have for you’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

John 13:7

“Jesus replied, ‘You don’t understand now what I am doing but someday you will.’”

1 Peters 5:10

“After all your season of suffering, God in all his grace will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you.”

Exodus 14: 13-14

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today… the lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

“Don’t mistake God’s patience for his absence. His timing is perfect, and his presence is constant. He is always with you!”

Romans 8: 18

“What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”

2 Kings 20:5

“This is what the Lord says: ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you.’”

Romans 15: 13

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with righteous right hand.”

I hope these few verses could help bring some comfort and maybe even a little clarity into your life amongst all this darkness we face daily. Just always remember, God truly is great and powerful if you just believe.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
