10 Bible Verses For When You Feel Like Giving Up

Everyone goes through hard times. Things will get rough and you may feel as if your world is crashing down. Don't give up. This is only temporary, it's not going to last forever. Everything will be OK. Everything will not always be easy. Stay strong and continue to pray, pray, pray.

1. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

When you put your trust in the Lord, He will never fail you. He may not answer you right away and you may think He is turning his back on you, but I promise the Lord always answers on time. He knows when the time is right. Trust in that and see where it takes you.

2. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

When you feel as if you have no one to talk to, no one to run to, or no one to help or save you, know that God is always there. He hears you, He sees you, and He is watching over you and protecting you. You are never alone.

3. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

When you feel as if you can't take anymore, or like everything in your life is going wrong, get on your knees, put your hands together, and bow your head. Go to Him. Run to Him. Ask Him for strength. Have a conversation with Him. It will make you feel better (at least it makes me feel a lot better).

4. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

Let Him take care of it how He plans to. Put all your worries in His hands.

5. "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." 2 Chronicles 15:7

All the hard work you are doing is not for nothing. The Lord will not let it go unrecognized. Do not give up.

6. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Whatever you're going through, it will not last. God already made His plan for you. You will be happy and you will be strong. Everything is going to be OK. He's got you. That's all you need.

7. Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Nothing is impossible for the Lord to do.

8. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

All those things that you think you cannot do, you can. The Lord will give you the strength to do so. He will not put you through something that He knows you cannot handle.

9. "Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand." Psalm 37:24

Just a reminder that the Lord will always be there.

10. "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

There is nothing in this world that the Lord our God can't handle. He has already fought the hardest battles. He can handle anything that is handed his way.

Take a minute to ask God for forgiveness. Ask Him to come into your life. Let Him take your pains away and watch the blessings come your way.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
