10 Bible Verses For When You Feel Like Giving Up
Marielle Buttram

“How satisfying to turn from our limitations to a God who has none.” - A.W. Tozer.

Sometimes, you may just feel like giving up. The stress of life gets to you. You begin to question everything anyone has ever said to you. You begin to go through some dark patches of your life. You feel like everything is falling apart. Let me tell you something - God has this beautiful plan for your life. Everything you're going through right now? It’s going to build up into this amazing life full of blessings. You just need to have faith and stick through it. I hope these verses serve as a reminder that God loves you and he has a plan for your life. I’m praying for you.

1. Romans 8:37-39

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors though him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, no anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

2. Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

3. Psalm 18:16

"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters."

4. Psalm 121

"I lift my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

5. Psalm 55:22

"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."

6. Luke 1:37

"For with God, nothing shall be impossible."

7. Psalm 46:5

"God is within her, she will not fall."

8. Philippians 1:6

"He who started good work in you will carry it to completion."

9. Matthew 17:20

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be as impossible for you.”

10. Exodus 14:14

"The Lord will fight for you. You only need to be still."

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
