As women, we know life can be rough. With the pressure from society to "fit in", the constant obsession over our looks, and just everyday struggles. One thing that I have learned is that through it all, God is there for us. He has advice for everything we are going through or will go through. I was reading my Bible today, and I figured out what my next article was going to be about. Us. Girls. Women. Here are ten Bible verses that God wants every girl to hear.

1. Proverbs 31: 20-21

"She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue."

Just keep in mind that it's better to think before you speak. Also, a little kindness can go a long way.

2. Proverbs 31:30

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised."

Beauty is fleeting, because with age it will go away. However, a woman who loves and fears her Lord is the best kind of woman, and her beauty will be seen through her acts of kindness.

3. Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you future and a hope."

God has a bright future in store for you!

4. Matthew 6:33-34

"But seek first His kingdom and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

All that stress and worry over the future? Forget it. Though we don't always remember it, God has a plan for each and every one of us. He knows what is going to happen to us. Don't stress over the future, or stress over things you can't change. Just pray to the Lord that He will guide you along your way.

5. 1 Timothy 2:9

"Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control.."

God is not saying that you should wear a veil over your face, or clothing on every inch of your skin. He just wants us to dress modestly, and not show our "temple" to everybody. Because our body is His temple.

6. Proverbs 31:25

"Strength and dignity are her clothing and she laughs at the time to come."

With God by your side, you are capable of anything! Stay strong in your faith and He will help you through life and all of its challenges.

7. Songs of Solomon 4:7

"You are altogether beautiful, my love, there is no flaw in you"

No commentary needed. Stay be-you-tiful.

8. Proverbs 31:20-21

"She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy."

It is better to give than to receive. The feeling you get after giving somebody a "gift" is one of the best feelings!

9. Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

Pray about all your worries, stressors, and troubles to God. He will help you, no matter the issue. Give Him time to answer your prayers.

10. 1 Timothy 4:12

"Let nobody despise you in your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."

Don't let anybody put you down because of what you believe in. Stay strong and steadfast in your religion. The Lord rejoices over it!

Oh, and remember, Jesus loves you.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
