I've been called insane because of this a few times already, but the day after Halloween automatically turns on my Christmas spirit. I was getting ready for a Halloween party on November 1st and was listening to the Christmas Hits playlist on Spotify as I got ready. I've watched a few Christmas episodes of my favorite TV shows and I have planned out fun winter things to do on dates. Like I said, insane.
However, if you're anything like me, Christmas is the best time of year. Classes come to an end, everything is covered in lights, you consume pounds of delicious food, and you get to spend time with your family. Christmas has always been a special time for me and my family, which is why it's so easy for me to get excited so early; when Christmas is your favorite holiday, why wouldn't you want to prolong the joy and celebration?
I am aware that some people are still stuck on Halloween or are patiently waiting to stuff themselves on Thanksgiving, which is awesome too! I'm a huge proponent of the holiday season and those are some great ones to celebrate. Maybe this is an attempt to get everyone on my excitement level so that I can stop being judged, but let's just call it spreading the spirit.
Frosty The Snowman
My favorite is the first one, but indulge in any of the Frosty variety and you are bound to feel a little more jolly.
Rudolph
The claymation Christmas movies are classics.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The animated one.... or the live action one. They both slap, tbh. So now, technically you have 11 options. You're welcome.
Love Actually
If you want a little bit of romance mixed in with your festivities, look no further!
Arthur Christmas
Honestly, an underrated one.
A Christmas Story
You'll shoot your eye out. This one also plays for 24 hours straight on Christmas day in case you were wondering.
Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas
SO MUCH MORE SUPERIOR than Mickey's One Upon A Christmas. It's made up of little shorts with all the characters. Maybe a little childish, but trust me on this.
Elf
An obvious choice.
Polar Express
Some people think this one is creepy (which I can see). However, the hot chocolate song makes it for me and I watch it every year.
Die Hard
It's a Christmas movie, idc.
