We all have our favorite times of the year, and mine would definitely have to be summer. My birthday is close to summertime, and I just cannot get passed how nice it is to be outside. Despite how awesome snow and wearing boots can be, summer will always have a huge spot in my heart. Here are just a few of the wildly wonderful things about summer.

1. The clothes

I love throwing on a bathing suit and a comfortable dress everyday, and just soaking up the sun!

2. The weather

90's and sunny everyday? I'll take it! I love feeling the warmth, and try to appreciate every minute of it while it lasts.

3. The tan

Being out in the sun means you get a little tanner too, which for me is a favorite!

4. No school

School's out for the summer, and there aren't as many responsibilities! Thank goodness.

5. Hanging out with friends

Everyone is ready to go on adventures, and do cool things.

6. Swimming

The heat means you need a way to cool off, and I love getting in the water!

7. Summer nights

The fireflies are out, and you can be comfortable even when the sun goes down.

8. Carnivals

Usually in the summer the festivals and carnivals come to town! Its fun and exciting and gives you the best excuse to eat some funnel cakes!

9. Delicious food

There are so many in season fruits and veggies that taste oh so good.

10. Ice Cream

This one is best of all. I'd eat it every day of the year, but its a lot more acceptable in the summer.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
