It is hard for anyone to say that Parent's Weekend isn't one of the best weekends of the fall. If you have cool parents, like me, you totally get this. It's not just about seeing your parents, but it's about getting to brag about your school and show them that their $60,000 isn't going to waste. (Love you Mom and Dad) There are so many great things about the weekend, but here are the top 10:
1. Â Seeing your cool parents and showing them off to your friends.
2. Probably my favorite part, getting good food. You get to go to all the fancy restaurants that you can't afford and eat whatever you want.
3. In the words of Lil Dicky, "Ay, we gon' save that money (I'm so thrifty)" Your bank account loves you for one weekend a year.
6. Dad's advice. Like your mom's, sometimes solicited, sometimes not.
6. Living like a king/queen in a hotel. Don't have to make your bed, room service, pay-per-view movies. Hotel>Dorm
7. Mom is so disgusted by your room, she cleans it for you.
8. Going out with your parents and letting them relive their glory days.
9. Target runs. For the next month, you won't starve. And Mom obviously thinks you need more than you do, but hey, I'm not complaining.
10. Getting to spend time with your best friends. At the end of the day, your parents are the best.
Yes, they will probably talk to you about grades and your future and you will want to die. But in the end, they are the coolest and spending time with them is the best.
