The 10 Best Parts Of Award Shows

Most of the time, I do not bother with music award shows. Regardless of who determines the recipient of the award, it never seems as though award shows really celebrate the musicians or music. In addition, the "live performances" are often dry and unoriginal. As a result, I really do not find awards shows very entertaining and settle down with some studying or some Netflix instead. But, occasionally, my roommates, friends, or family coerce me into a viewing. This year, I was forced to watch the 2015 American Music Awards. Inspired by that experience, here are my favorite parts of award shows.

1. Nicki Minaj's reactions

2. Nicki Minaj's tweets about the awards and/or the award shows

3. Nicki Minaj calling people out

4. Nicki Minaj's AMAZING acceptance speeches

5. Nicki Minaj's incredible performances

6. Nicki Minaj's fashion choices

8. Nicki Minaj's ass(ets)

9. Nicki Minaj's costumes

10. Time after time, Nicki Minaj always brings something interesting to the show

There is not much else to look forward to in these award shows.

Through the cheesy introductions, awkward jokes, and weird audience dancing, Nicki remains a beacon of quality entertainment. Nicki is not only a master at her craft, she constantly proves herself to be a role model for young, aspiring musicians everywhere.

A tip to award organizers everywhere: just invite Nicki. It is all you need to ensure your award show will be entertaining. It might mean your shows do not go as planned, but it does mean that you will have a good time.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
