10 Best Movies Still On Netflix

As you may have heard, some of our most treasured movies have been taken from us on Netflix. They were taken away and the only ones to blame are ourselves. Netflix claims that they are losing movies because viewers don't tend to watch movies on Netflix. SIGH. Well, there are still a handful of awesome movies you can still watch no matter the mood you're in.

1. Forrest Gump

Such an original. Although, you have to REALLY be in the movie mood to watch this (because it's 2 hours and 22 minutes long). But at the end of the day, we wonder how Netflix has such a great movie and couldn't keep the other great ones like Elf, or Wolf of Wall Street, hmmmm...

2. Hush

Are you in a scary movie kind of mood? Well this is a perfect movie for you to watch. It is a scary movie that has a great plot to it with so much suspense (you don't get that often now a days). To be honest, when I watched this, I had to look up the ending half way through the movie because I was dying to know that badly. Just do yourself a favor and watch this movie.

3. Gladiator

Just a great movie that I hope we'll never lose.

4. Grease

In the mood for a musical? The most perfect movie is right at the tip of your fingers waiting to be watched on your favorite streaming app.

5. Titanic

To all of you Leonardo Dicaprio lovers out there, even though Wolf of Wall Street is gone, hope is still here. His most famous movie is still alive and well on the Flix.

6. White Chicks

The greatest movie where two black guys play the role of two white chicks. It's a short and great movie for a few laughs.

7. Mean Girls

Lindsey Lohan comes to the US after being in Africa and deals with high school girls. Never gets old. You go Glen Coco.

8. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

The original is good, and Johnny Depp is BETTER.

9. Saving Private Ryan

To be honest, I don't recall ever watching this movie, but I heard its' good :) Plus Tom Hanks is in it.

10. A Cinderella Story

A quick, girly, movie that hits the heart every time.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
