On September 4, 2016 a little Roman Catholic nun from Calcutta will finally be canonized into the Catholic Church as a saint. Mother Teresa who was born as Agnes Bojaxhiu to her family in Yugoslavia, will become an official role model for others and a faithful intercessor in heaven before God. So in celebration I've decided to pull together a few of my favorite quotes from such an incredible woman.

"I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."

"A joyful heart is the normal result of a heart burning with love."

"I used to pray that God would feed the hungry, or do this or that, but now I pray that He will guide me to do whatever I'm supposed to do, what I can do. I used to pray for answers, but now I'm praying for strength. I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things."

"There is no greater reason to be on Earth than to do good."

"It's not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It's not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving."

"Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you."

"Some people come in your life as blessings. Some come in your life lessons."

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much."

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."

"The greatest miracle is that God can work through nothings, small things like us. He uses us to do his work."

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
