We all know him. We all love him - that is as long as you are an Auburn Tiger. Head Coach Gus Malzahn arrived on the Plains for the 2013 football season and turned our team around in ways we never thought possible. He is an icon at Auburn University--fans and students alike seek him out on a daily basis. We know he loves his Auburn vests and celebrates victories at the Waffle House with a steak omelette. But through the victories and losses, Malzahn stays confident in his team. No other person has as much faith in their team as Malzahn does for the Tigers, and these quotes are all the proof anyone should need.

1. After the 2013 Iron Bowl win:

"You know the way we won the last two weeks is really unbelievable. Our guys believed and they weathered the storm."

2. On the 2014 football season:

"Our goal is to win the SEC, and we didn't get that done. But the way our guys handled themselves and the leadership, that's what I'll remember."

3. After the 2013 season:

"We knew this season would be remembered one way or the other. It's been a dream the whole way, and what a better way to cap it."

4. "We have high expectations at Auburn. It's a process. We're going to be as good we can possibly be."

5. From Auburn Bowl Media Day:

"Auburn is blue collar, hard-nosed, physically and mentally tough. That is who we are and that is how we win football games here. That is how they have done it for a long time. That is the one thing we realized that we have to get back. That is what we focused on."

6. After the 2013 Auburn v. UGA game:

"I believe if you work hard and you have a team that is completely 100 percent together and all the coaches, everybody is on-board then you have a chance to do something special."

7. "I totally believe God has blessed me with a unique ability to know offense, to call offense. I'm truly excited to be here. I can't wait to get started."

8. After the 2014 football season, commenting on the upcoming 2015 season:

"Our goal, next year, will be to win the SEC. That's the way it'll be every year. The future is bright. We feel really bad right now. But the future is very bright."

9. At a press conference after the 2013 Auburn v. UGA game:

"This is definitely a Waffle House night."

10. "We have to give 110% in every aspect of everything we do all the time. That's how you do it. That's how you win."

Gus Malzahn has a heart for this team and wants them to be all that they can. I know Auburn is looking forward to the 2015 football season and the work Malzahn has put into the team. With all his drive and determination, who wouldn't want to join the Gus Bus?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
