One of my favorite TV shows of all time is Friends, and because I spend far too much time on Netflix I've put together a list of the best episodes (in my opinion). Grab some snacks and a cozy blanket, light a candle and spend your Saturday night in with some Friends:
10. The One with Two Parts: Part 2 (Season 1, Episode 17)
Monica and Rachel pretend to be each other on a double date, Ross is freaking out about being a father and has to take his monkey to the hospital when he swallows Scrabble tiles, Joey starts dating Phoebe's twin sister and neglects Phoebe, and Chandler makes sarcastic comments. This episode has a lot of classic Friends moments and just solidifies the friendships the group has.
9. The One where No One's Ready (Season 3, Episode 2)
This is a real-time episode of Friends that focuses on Ross attempting to organize the group to get ready in time for his big function. Joey and Chandler argue over underwear, Phoebe wears a Christmas bow to cover a hummus stain on her dress, Monica messes with her ex-boyfriend's message machine and Ross almost drinks fat for Rachel.
8. The One with the Embryos (Season 4, Episode 12)
Phoebe agrees to be a surrogate mother to her brother and his wife and Chandler/Joey and Monica/Rachel have a trivia contest hosted by Ross to see who knows the most about the other. This is a highly celebrated episode of Friends as Phoebe successfully gets pregnant and the trivia round reveals a lot about the characters, except what Chandler's job is. This episode also shows Monica at her most competitive, which is unlike anything you've probably ever seen.
7. The One with all the Resolutions (Season 5, Episode 11)
As new year approaches everyone makes personal resolutions which result in Joey and Phoebe fighting over a guitar, Chandler not being able to make fun of his friends, and most entertaining of all Ross wearing leather pants on a date. Things go horribly wrong for him and he ends up a hot mess with cosmetics all over his legs. This is also the episode where Rachel finds out about Monica and Chandler.
6. The One where Ross Got High (Season 6, Episode 9)
The holiday episodes are some of my favorite episodes and this is one of the Thanksgiving ones. Judy and Jack Geller come to visit and cause some secrets to be spilled out, Joey just wants to spend Thanksgiving with Janine and her hot dancer friends, Phoebe has a naughty dream about Jack, Rachel puts beef in the trifle and Monica and Chandler come clean to Monica's parents about their relationship.
5. The One where Everybody Finds Out (Season 5, Episode 14)
This is the episode where Chandler publicly professes his love for Monica, which, if you're a Friends fan you know how big of a deal this is. In this episode everyone finds out about Chandler and Monica which is the first big step in their relationship. Ross gets the apartment across the street from Ugly Naked Guy in this episode as well, and he has a naked bonding moment with him and the mini-muffins. You'll just have to watch to get it.
4. The One with the Prom Video (Season 2, Episode 14)
"See? He's her lobster!"
Possibly one of the most famous Friends lines, this episode features one of Ross and Rachel's cutest moments. The gang watches an old video of Rachel and Monica getting ready for prom and the video reveals a touching gesture Ross did for Rachel and brings the two together.
3. The One where Ross Finds Out (Season 2, Episode 7)
This episode has one of my favorite Friends scenes ever: the scene where Ross and Rachel kiss in the coffee shop. This is the beginning of the Ross and Rachel saga and Ross has his famous "You're over me? When were you....under me?" moment. Also Monica becomes Chandler's personal trainer, which is always worth watching.
2. The One with Monica and Chandler's Wedding (Season 7, Episodes 23/24)
This is a milestone episode in the series as Monica and Chandler finally get married but it's also important because it's the one that ties Ross and Rachel together forever. Chandler gets over his fear of commitment and babies (mostly) and Chandler delivers the most heartfelt vow to Monica. It's a crazy episode with a lot of crying and yelling and calming down but it's also one of the most beautiful as Monica gets to have the wedding of her dreams.
1. The Last One (Season 10, Episodes 17/18)
This episode is just an overwhelming wave of many emotions. As it is the last one of the series, it ties all the story-lines into a final nice bow. Monica and Chandler get their babies (yes, there's not just one but two), Ross tells Rachel how he feels, Joey gets a new chick and duck, and Phoebe gets to use phalange one last time. It's hard to pick which moment in the episode is my favorite but it would be a tie between Chandler and Monica bringing the twins home or when Ross turns around in his apartment and Rachel's standing there because she got off the plane. Chandler delivers the last line in the series and the very last shot of the apartment is an understated but effective goodbye for the series.
