It is finally December! 'Tis the season to stay inside and watch Christmas movies with your families. Everyone has to leave the house eventually though and when you do, Christmas music is everywhere. We all have our favorites, but these ten are better than any others.
1. Sleigh Ride
This one is tricky because it has several different versions. Personally, my favorite is the orchestra version. I really don't care for the lyrics in the song at all.
2. Baby It's Cold Outside
This is another one where the version makes all the difference. Dean Martin never actually did a duet to this song, but Martina McBride later added her vocals in there. It is honestly the only version of this song that I like.
3. White Christmas
Bing Crosby sang this song in one of the best Christmas movies ever made. That's all I really need to say about that.
4. Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth
Another Bing Crosby song, but this time he is joined by David Bowie in one of my favorite Christmas duets. If you haven't heard it, you need to look it up and hear it. There is also a parody of it by Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly that is pretty great.
5. Let it Snow
I live in lower Alabama. I never get snow, especially not on Christmas. I can dream though, right?
6. Do You Hear What I Hear?
Carrie Underwood does a rendition of this song that is absolutely gorgeous. It will always make my top 10.
7. Christmas In Dixie
Lesser known, but still amazing. The band Alabama has my favorite Christmas album of all time and this song is a big reason as to why.
8. I'll Be Home For Christmas
Michael Bublé can sing just about any Christmas song, let's be honest. This one is probably my favorite of his though.
9. All I Want For Christmas (Is You)
Is it really Christmas without Mariah Carey singing this song?
10. You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch
For those of us who are a bit like the Grinch during the holidays, find the 2000 movie version with Jim Carey.
