10 Of The Best Albus Dumbledore Quotes
Quirky Byte

Albus Dumbledore, the wisest and all around greatest character ever created. I've always had a special place in my heart for the Harry Potter books/movies and Albus Dumbledore may be that reason why. He is the most powerful wizard ever, headmaster of Hogwarts and he hits you right in the feels with his amazing quotes/words of advice.

1. "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."

This comes from the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Not only great advice but it is very true as well. Constantly dreaming of what could be won't make it happen. YOU make it happen.

2. "It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be."

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is where this meaningful quote was said. I think this is a very important statement and with how everything is in the world lately, it needs to be reminded.

3. "People find it easier to forgive others for being wrong than being right."

Preach Dumbledore, preach. Thanks for being the one to say it in, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

4. "You think the dead we loved truly ever leave us? You think we don't recall them more clearly in times of great trouble?"

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. This quote may be very meaningful to people who have lost someone very close to them. It seems once in trouble is when we need our loved ones the most.

5. "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."

This quote was apart of the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Ever since the first book Dumbledore has been making us realize things we sometimes don't seem to.

6. "Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open."

Yeah Trump...Dumbledore is talking to you. Courtesy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

7. "Soon we must all face the choice between what is right, and what is easy."

One of my favorite quotes from yet again Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (also my favorite movie).

8. "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it not real?"

Dumbledore wrapped up his famous lines with this one from, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

9. "Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living and above all, those who live without love."

Very important message. What is a life without love...Another quote he ended with in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

10. "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

Saved the best for last! I look to this a lot in life, actually all I have to do is look down to my arm because I love this quote so much I actually got it tattooed on me! This one comes from another one of my favorites, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
