Ah, the language of love! Listening to people speak Italian is like drinking precious wine - there's a certain smoothness to it. The way the words flow into one another forms a lovely song. Here is a list of my favorite Italian phrases, partly because of the meanings, but mostly because they sound so beautiful.

Life is sweeter with you.
2. Le cose belle arrivano quando non le cerchi.

3. La vita è come fotografia, se sorridi, viene meglio.
Life is like a picture, if you smile, it's better.
4. Il segreto della felicità è libertà.
The secret of happiness is freedom.
5. Segui il tuo corso, e lascia dir genti.
Follow your own road, and let the people talk.
6. Siamo al mondo per essere veri, non perfetti.
We are in this world to be real, not perfect.
7. Ancora imparo.
I am still learning.

It's because I love you (from the classic 1981 song by Ricchi e Poveri).
9. Vola con le proprie ali.
She flies with her own wings.
10. Il dolce far niente.
The sweetness of doing nothing... (best said while in Italy of course!)
