So, we shall start by saying this: “I am an iPhone geek!”. I love iPhone and I can’t seem to find myself getting rid of my second most adorable thing (after my GF) which is my iPhone. My first ever iPhone was the iPhone 3GS (after I’ve gone crazy with my Nokia QWERTY hard keyboard) and I learned that I love iPhone since then. I’ve been through all generations of iPhone and now I’m using the iPhone 7. I can’t help myself not to share the great functionalities of the iPhone to you guys and not making a mistake by buying an Android (especially a Samsung phone). So here are 10 reasons to get the iPhone.

1. iMessage

iMessage is the mother of text messaging. Apple has made it unbelievably awesome. Back then, all you can do is send text messages, but now you can add effects to the bubble, you can slap a sticker to it or even laser show so your friends can see how awesome you are. Also you can send messages for free if the other person also use the iPhone.

2. Siri

Siri is undeniably the best virtual assistant I have ever experienced. You could say that Siri was the one who started the war of virtual assistant, then comes Cortana, Alexis, and others that I don’t know. For those who doesn’t know what Siri does, she is capable of handling daily work of your iPhone. You can ask her to set an alarm to wake your lazy butt up for college, set a reminder for your upcoming big date or even read an article for you. Back then, you have to press and hold the iPhone home button to activate Siri, but now all you have to do is say “Hey Siri” and she will respond to your command without needing to press anything. You can actually make her beatbox for you.

3. Live photo

So what is Live photo you may ask? Live Photo is a function in your iPhone camera that let you take photos and those photos come to life for 3 seconds when you use the 3D touch to see it. How you use it? Simple! All you have to do is to make the circle on top of the camera menu to turn yellow. That’s all!! Now you can take photos and they will come to life, showing how pictures are not the same anymore.

4. Water-resistant

You read it right. Your favorite iPhone is now water-resistant, graded as IPX67. For those who do not understand it, you can now listen to music, or watch YouTube while taking a shower. You can submerge your iPhone in the water for more than 30 minutes. So no more worries about spilling coffee on your iPhone or dropping it in your toilet while playing Angry Birds.

5. Airdrop

Have you ever wanted to share something to someone near you but you don’t know how or your phone doesn’t have that function? Fear not! Because Airdrop is here to help. By just turning on Wifi and Bluetooth, you can share whatever you want by press share and your friend's name will pop up for you to choose and share with.

6. iCloud

iCloud is an account you create to download apps on the Appstore or music on iTunes. But the thing that makes it different from Android is that it connects seamlessly with other Apple products. For example, you can transfer all your data by just signing into your iCloud account, the moment you finish doing that, your music, movies, photos, anything you have on your iPhone, it will be there on any of your Apple device like iPad, Macs, iPod, Apple Watch,...

7. Touch ID and Apple Pay

It let's you open your phone faster, safer and easier. You may think that that’s all it does, well, there’s another thing you could use, and there is Apple Pay. Back then, when you go shopping, forgetting your wallet or purse at home would be the end of you, there’s no hope in helping but then you have your iPhone and Apple Pay is there to save the day. Just double-click your home button and Apple Pay will activate for you to pay what you need to pay. The process of adding your credit card onto your iPhone is way easier and faster than your average Android phone. Also Apple Pay is more available in malls and restaurant than Android Pay.

8. Facetime

Facetime is integrated in your iPhone the moment you boot it up. Facetime let you video call with your family members or friends instead of downloading other third-party apps like Skype, Viber or other apps, wasting battery and capacity on your phone. It also let you audio call by using wifi instead of using the data through your carrier.

9. Speaker

iPhone now has stereo speakers which means it increases the range and let you really crank up real good to impress your friends with it.

10. Design

Smartphones today are the same. Why? Because they all are using the same pattern from Apple. One case is that Apple sued and won on court because Samsung stole their design for the iPhone. Whenever you see a commercial from other companies, they always seems to antagonize the iPhone for their design, ditching the aux port, etc. Why do they always do that? Because they knew that there are no ways their products can beat Apple products so the only way is to make the consumers think doing that is bad. iPhone has the design that started it all.

Finally, iPhone is the phone that revolutionizes the phone industry. They keep pushing us forward, creating new things but also abandoning old things. We are people and people move forward and don’t look back.
