10 Animals That Describe Every College Student While On Break

Winter break is coming to a close and college students around the country are returning to school. For anyone else doing a little reflection, here are my top feelings from break illustrated by adorable animals.

1. When my parents tell me it’s time to wake up and to stop “wasting away your break”

How am I supposed to catch up on sleep and feel rested when you drag me out of bed before it’s even daylight outside?

2. When I see that unfortunate acquaintance from high school out in public

Maybe it’s that guy with terrible manners, or the girl who was way out of my league. Regardless, I wish I could melt through the sidewalk and forget every one of those cringe-worthy conversations before they come in and try to awkwardly feign small talk for twenty minutes.

3. When my mom cooks my favorite food

Let’s be honest- dining hall food just isn’t that great. There’s occasional highlights, but nothing beats a home-cooked pot of mom’s spaghetti after a cold walk with the dog.

4. When New Years shows up and I make another resolution to exercise more

Every day I tell myself tomorrow is the day, but then oops it’s ten o’clock and who wants to be sweaty right before bed? Oh well…

5. When I finally have time to catch up on reading

There are so many good books! Where do they all come from? How have I been missing these in my life? No, mom, I don't want to go out! I have all the company I could ever need right here with my fictional friends!

6. When my pets do something adorable

Wait, here, have another treat so you’ll pose! All my friends need to see this!

7. When all my parents’ friends ask “what I plan to do with my life”

Is reading, eating cookies, and hanging out an acceptable plan? How do people have their lives so together? I don’t even have a plan for summer…

8. When I reach a new level of boredom even though I have 7 million things I could be doing

*Looks around at puzzles, dog, books, and computer. Calls up friend, sits and does nothing, feels better*

9. When I find a catchy new song and dance all over the house

Don’t come upstairs please don’t come upstairs…

10. When you realize break is already over and its time for school to start again

Wait, what happened? I’m not ready to do more work!

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
