The 10 Most Amazing Landscapes of Venezuela

Here is a list of my favorite landscapes that you can find in Venezuela.

1. La Gran Sabana

Located at the "National Park Canaima," the place leaves every visitor completely astonished due to its beauty and how big it is. It is famous for its table-top mountains called "tepuy". This place was the inspiration behind the landscapes seen in the Disney-Pixar movie "Up."

2. Los Médanos de Coro

The biggest dessert from the Caribbean coast. It is a dessert surrounded by jungle.

3. Los Roques

A group of islands located at the North of the country. It is known by its coral reef and clear water beaches.

4. Pico Bolívar

The highest mountain in Venezuela. It was named after Simón Bolívar, the independence hero for Venezuelans. It is the only place in the country where it snows and the peak is always covered in it. In the same State (Mérida) you can find the highest and second longest cable way in the world.

5. Colonia Tovar

Also known as the "Germany of the Caribbean", this city's architecture is based on German and Dutch styles. Its climate allows the grow of strawberries, peaches, carrots, and other vegetables and fruits. Its traditional foods are German (like the apple strudel) and also Venezuelan (like the churros).

6. Choroní

What makes this place special is the beauty of the town and its beaches, which are well known by surfers around the world. The other important factor is the cocoa produced in the zone, of the best in the world.

7. El Salto Ángel

This is the highest uninterrupted waterfall in the world. It is located in the "National Park Canaima," just like "La Gran Sabana." This also appeared in the Disney-Pixar movie "Up."

8. Ávila

This mountain is the pride of every Caraquenian. It can be seen from any point of Caracas. People can go up walking, by car or by cable way. At the top of it restaurants can be found. There is also a hotel there called "Humboldt". Strawberries with whipped cream and hot chocolate are big attractions of the place.

9. Rayo del Catatumbo

This meteorological phenomenon takes place at the Maracaibo Lake in the city of Maracaibo. Lightning strikes at almost the same place repeatedly. It occurs during 140 to 160 nights a year, 10 hours per day and up to 280 times per hour.

10. Ríos Orinoco y Caroní

This two rivers located in the South of Venezuela connect but never merge. You can find river dolphins, commonly known as "Toninas" in the area.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Sister | Brother Style - Word Press

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
