Maybe you already have a bucket list or maybe you've never thought of having one, either way, these are ten things that everyone should do before they die. If you are young, old, any gender, or any kind of human, you can do it! These are things that show us what living life is really about. Experience life, live life, and cherish life.

1. Go Skydiving

I am afraid of heights, but I still think that everyone should experience the freedom of falling out of the sky. Nothing but the rush of the wind and the caress of the air. Is it scary? Yes, but the things that scare us the most are usually well worth doing. Go learn to fly.

2. Save a Life

You do not have to be a doctor to save a life. Talk to someone who looks like they could use a friend. Ask that person what you can do for them. Usually, simply being a good person and offering help to others does more good than you will ever know.

3. Travel to Another Country

It can be within the same continent or on the other side of the world, but go and experience different cultures, languages, art, and people. Be a citizen of the world and pop the bubble of existing only within your home country.

4. See a Play on Broadway

Everyone should see at least one professional theatre production. Stage acting dates back to Shakespeare and is one of the first art forms of humans. Theatre has a magical quality that captivates viewers.

5. Read "To Kill A Mockingbird"

Harper Lee's classic first novel tells the story of a little girl growing up in the segregated south. Not only is it an entertaining story, it also narrates the prejudice and ignorance surrounding racism and segregation.

6. Learn to Play an Instrument

Piano, guitar, or even the didgeridoo. Learning an instrument can be done by anyone, it just takes dedication and practice. The ability to read and create music is a joy that all humans should know.

7. Learn to Speak Another Language

Learning to speak another language makes you a culturally aware and culturally appreciative person. It is also helpful in communication with others.

8. Know the Unconditional Love of an Animal

Anyone who has ever had a pet has known the unconditional and undying love of an animal. They never judge, are always forgiving, and still love you no matter what. Every child should know what it is like to have a furry best friend.

9. Be with the Person You Love

Be with the human you love. No matter who they are or where they come from, love them, be with them...grow with them. Everyone should have that life changing, awe inspiring love.

10. Find the Thing You are Passionate About

Whether it is knitting or world peace, find something that not only occupies your time, but also your heart. Find a hobby or a cause that inspires you to create...to create change, inspiration, or passion.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
