You walked up to the front of the class and handed in your last final, or submitted it online. You gave your last presentation, finished that huge project, wrote that five page—or more—essay, or completed that portfolio compiled of a variety of different projects you’ve worked on throughout the semester. The point is you’re done. No more studying, test anxiety, or staying up until 3 A.M. to finish that homework assignment that’s due in a few hours. You've done it!
Through all those tears, the stress, and quite possibly even some blood and sweat, you've made it. You finished another semester and lived to tell the tale! Your responsibilities have lessened—at least a little.
So now that you're "free", what are you going to do with all that extra time on your hands? Here are 10 suggestions.1. Celebrate!
Finals are officially over!
2. De-stress.
Relax, because you can.3. Take a vacation.
You deserve to after all that hard work you've done for the last of couple months.
4. Read that book you’ve been staring at but haven't picked up.
Or play that video game. Or… anything really. Anything you couldn’t have done during the semester without procrastinating and putting off your school work.
5. TV show or movie marathon anyone?
Vegging out a little is okay.
6. Spend time with the people who matter most!
Especially if you are someone who goes away for college.
7. Pick up extra hours at work.
More money=more things you can buy or save for. But don't work your break away—unless you want to.
8. Catch up on sleep.
In your own bed. No more lofted beds. No more dorms. No more roommates. Way more privacy.
9. Don't think about next semester.
Do yourself a favor, and just don't do it. Not right away at least10. Most of all… enjoy!
Enjoy your freedom from textbooks, uncomfortable chairs, late night stress, tiring lectures, and mounds of assignments!
