Being from Wyoming, I have usually only ever met people from Wyoming because the wind drives anyone else away. When I came to college at the University of Wyoming, I was surprised by all the people who were from different places. Most of the people are from Colorado, our next door neighbors. Colorado was like my second home growing up, so of course I was ecstatic about there being so many Colorado natives. I don't know if they were too ecstatic about being in Wyoming, but it seemed like they made the effort to get to know the Wyoming way of life. A lot of my sorority sisters are from Colorado and they invite us Wyomingites all the time to go down and see all the new exciting things going on in Denver, etc. I think they enjoy the fact that we act like we're in Disney Land when we visit their hometowns. They also love the fact that we love outdoor activities just as much as they do. So many of us go hiking, skiing etc. together either in Colorado or Wyoming.

We aren't really that different at all when you think about it. Sure, Colorado does have better everything, but Wyoming has a lot to offer than just cheap prices. Even though there is a big rivalry between the University of Wyoming and Colorado State University, we can still get a long. When we do come across our differences, it only seems to bring us closer. I do constantly get jealous when they talk about having their graduation at Red Rocks and how many great concerts they have seen there, but I know I can mooch off of them whenever I like. I love knowing that I have friends in both states.
