To My Best Friend Who’s At A Different College

Dear Best Friend,

I miss you dearly. I know we are where we’re meant to be right now, but I really wish you were here. It’s hard, not having lunch every day and not having you close enough to meet up within a few minutes. Something happens daily that I wish I could experience with you. All I want to do is get Starbucks and watch "Gilmore Girls," but instead we have to resort to texting.

We are growing up and I wish that you were by my side. But in the end, I know you always are. Friendship lasts much longer than distance, though it’s not fun. I know your life will be perfect and no matter where I am I will always be cheering you on.

I know our friendship is strong, though, if it can last through this and I’m so proud to call you my friend. Like you tell me, I’m always just a phone call or a two hour drive away. Know that I am always here for you no matter what the situation is.

It’s funny how life works, isn't it? We spent years in school together and never really talked. Now look at us, so far away, and talk is all we do. Here’s to all the new adventures that we will have, together and apart. Just remember to tell me all the details and I will do the same.

Here's to your boyfriend and all the new friends you will meet along the way, take care of her. Be good friends and examples like she is to me. But knowing her, she'll probably end up taking care of all of you.

Best friend, remember that I am always here. No one could replace you. When I look for new friends I look for the traits you have: kind, caring, and strong in your faith. No one seems to come close.

Best friend, thank you. You’ve helped me through the tough times. You’ve been with me through my strongest laughs and my worst cries. You’ve helped me grow to be me. You’ve been there through it all. And if it weren’t for you, I wouldn't be here (without you) at all.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
