Making the Most out of Sunday
Love This PIc

Indubitably, the best part of a week while you're at college is Sunday. No obligations, just a whole day of nothing to do, other than homework. Sunday is crammed between a Saturday of catching up on TV and socializing and a Monday that's as dreadful as the word naturally sounds. You may just be bored having to stay inside all day to do nothing but homework, listen to music, and watch the clock go by. Here are some suggestions to spice up your Sunday, as shown in schedule format:

11:00- Wake UP!
This is your ideal wake-up time on a Sunday. Not too early, and not too late. It's the perfect time to rejuvenate your stomach with greasy breakfast food or that omelet you've been craving all week. Or, even try something new. Go to the bookstore for that fresh breeze of outside air and buy all the candy you want. That morning sugar rush may just speed up this schedule, and let's be honest, Sour Patch Kids are the perfect solution.

1:00- Start HW, but put on a good playlist
This part takes a bit of preparation. When you get back from brunch or are still on your sugar high, be sure to put together a great playlist for doing homework. And no, not the Spotify "Pop Chillout" list that has a bunch of random music that you kinda like. Suggestions: Korn, Anthrax, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, etc. (something to wake you up every time you hear the screams of death arise from the angelic sounds of shredding guitars) You'll be completely awake, and the faster you do hw, the less of this music you have to hear!
*If you are a fan of this music, then listen to a completely different kind of music, like Country (personally not my go to) or Radio Disney for example.

3:00- Take a Yoga Break
You know how you always try to do those mid-studying stretch breaks? Save all your aches and pains for this yoga break. You don't have to do intense poses, like warrior or downward dog, but maybe just lay down and do some child's pose (so relaxing) or even the corpse pose (yes, it looks just like you think, and is quite relaxing after a long day of stress and hardcore yoga). This is for you too boys! Yoga is quite relaxing, especially after a hardcore gym workout.

3:30-Time to start homework again!
I hope you didn't already delete that heavy metal playlist! Time to get back to it, soldier. Trust me, you'll grow to love it :)

6:30- DINNER <3
Time to communicate with the outside world again. Go down to dinner and if you're not already dying from your earlier sugar rush, get all your favorite foods, but take it a step further and smother them with hot sauce. Your tongue may suffer from second-degree burns, but it's totally worth it.

8:00- TV Time
Watch whatever your heart desires (or whatever can fit into a 2-hour timeslot). I suggest using the Chrome AdBlocker to take away all the commercials, thus, shortening tv about 12 minutes or so. My personal favorite is Jane the Virgin (see my other articles for why).

10:00- FINISH THAT HW!
DO IT! I BELIEVE IN YOU!!! LISTEN TO THE LAST OF THAT HEAVY METAL!!! FEEL THE GUITAR SHREDDING IN YOUR SOUL!!

12:30- Good Night!
Well! Wasn't that a productive day? Can't wait to do it all over again next Sunday :))))

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
