Everyone looks forward to it after a long and tiring work week, why? What is so great about the weekend? Who better to explain, than the man who chose his stage name after it: Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd.

Thursday:

"...on thursday, make sure you are thirsty..."

'Thirsty Thursday' is the college equivalent of a Friday.

"When the sun goes down, I know what you become
You become awake, unlike the rest of us"

Everyone is going out, whether or not they're looking to actually quench their thirst or quench a different type of thirst.

"You don't know what's in store, but you know what you're here for"

Friday:

"...Why would you try to waste this precious time? Cause tonight I'll be right here and tomorrow you won't care..."

The weekend rolls around once a week, and for those who couldn't go out on Thursday, probably because they had classes on Friday, are now going out.

"Only losers go to school"

There's no time to waste. Everyone deserves to loosen up after a long stressful week of classes. Friday is the day that everyone forgets about their college career at least for a little while.

Saturday:

"..Said I'm two days strong, and never sleep until it's mornin'.."

Some people have been out partying since Thursday, making Saturday their day three of partying or just having a wild time with their friends. For others, Saturday is their Sunday--A day where they take the time to recuperate after two wild nights and a lack of sleep.

"Waking up, half past five...Drunk too much, you know what I'm like"

Either way, there is never a lack of hung over college kids at the dining halls getting breakfast around noon.

Sunday:

"There comes a time in a man's life when he must take responsibility for the choices he has made"

Oh the dreaded Sunday--While the rest of the world is using this day to relax from their Friday and or Saturday's, college students are using this day to catch up on all the school work they were supposed to do over the weekend. They're also preparing for the dreaded Monday to roll around.

But hey--there is always next weekend to look forward to!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
