Why Alpha Kappa Psi?

Alpha Kappa Psi is the premier developer of business leaders, the oldest professional business fraternity, and, most importantly, an incredibly diverse organization with a lot to offer. That being said, here's a list of reasons why joining an organization like Alpha Kappa Psi could change your life for the better.

1. You won't just make friends, you'll make connections

Friends are great, but brothers are forever.

2. The brotherhood is for life

Even after your active days, you'll still keep in touch with your bros.

3. You will know the ins and outs of resume building

Applying for jobs suddenly got a whole lot easier.

4. Any interview you'll go through after joining will be a piece of cake

You'll feel a lot more confident, too.

5. You'll break out of your shell

And learn to get out of your comfort zone. After all, people gain more out of the fraternal experience if they put more effort into it.

6. You'll build on your strengths...

Because there's always room for improvement.

7. And you will find new strengths

Like talking in groups and working as a team.

8. You will always have a buddy to grab food or chill with any night of the week.

Oh, and you'll probably have a ton of gym partners, too.

9. You will learn how to work with all types of people

And it will prepare you for the real world.

10. You will find yourself speaking your mind more

Because what's the point of clamming up? You have to work for the things that you want!

11. You will learn when it is and isn't appropriate to speak your peace

Sometimes an argument just isn't worth the extra energy.

12. You will become great at public speaking

Class presentations? You've got that in the bag! Not only are you prepared, but you're eager to kill it.

13. Running for an officer position will become a goal of yours

Even if you were hesitant before, you will gain the motivation to lead within your organization to the best of your ability.

14. You will love dressing professionally

Suiting up will be a highlight! Who doesn't love feeling well-dressed, anyway?

15. But most importantly, you will find that you never stop challenging yourself

And your brothers will never stop challenging you to be the best that you can be, either. Because at the end of the day, you are all there for one another and you want to see each other succeed.

Hope this opened your eyes to the great things that professional Greeks have to offer!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
