6 Simple Essentials For Your Fall Closet

Fall is right around the corner and what better way to start this season off than with a few tips and tricks to bump up your style before you head back to school? Here are six style must-haves that will make transitioning into this fall season a whole lot trendier and easier for a busy gal.

1. Flare! Flare! Flare!

Flare pants are making a huge comeback this fall in bold prints and in new styles. Kylie Jenner was recently spotted sporting the new trend in an all black get up this past week. A dark washed flare jean can be easily worked into any fall wardrobe with a basic plain tee, printed top or even a cute crop like Kylie’s. It’s easy to cop this hot new trend at stores like: Forever 21, ASOS, and Nordstrom.

2. Fall Flannels

Whether it’s from your boyfriends closet or a rack at the thrift store, flannel shirts are a true essential for Fall. Running late for class? Throw on a pair of leggings and an over-sized flannel either as a top or tied around your waist for an extra cute and casual look.

3. Statement Scarves

Go glam this season without the harm to our furry friends! Pair a vest with a cute basic long - sleeve tee and some skinnies and you can go from boring to bombshell. Coming in a variety of faux furs, be sure too stick with a neutral warm color to avoid the “this doesn’t match with anything I have” dilemma.

5.Booties, Booties, Booties, Booties, Steppin' Everywhere

Booties (no, not those kind of booties) are the shorter version of a boot. They might be one of the comfiest trends to wear this fall season, from personal experience. Browns and black leather are the most versatile styles to work into a wardrobe and will literally go with anything. Pair them with a cute skater dress/circle skirt or even your favorite pair of jeans for that city chic look.

6. Flawless Fedoras

Fedoras are a major trend at the moment. Rocked by the iconic Taylor Swift on the regular, they can add a trendy touch to any casual look. Seen in a variety of colors, these hats are definitely a fall staple.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
