Outspreading national attention is the Sandra Bland case - a 28 year old woman who was arrested for a vehicle violation and found dead in her jail cell three days later. Her death was ruled a suicide, but social media isn't buying it. In this article, I will list 14 reasons why I do not believe Sandra Bland committed suicide but, rather, was murdered. While reading this article have an open mind and think for your self. Come to your own conclusions- organic and unbiased- free from the media's propaganda.
1. She asked 14 times why she was being arrested, without an answer.
2. The police officer used excessive force during the removal of her car --making threats such as, "I will drag you out" and "I will light you up."
3. The police officer did not handcuff Sandra in view of the dashboard camera, but directed her into the grass out of view. Apparently Sandra "began swinging her elbows at me and kicked my right leg", the officer said, but while speaking to his Supervisor after the arrest he stated, "She never swung at me."
4. While being directed out of the dashboard view Sandra stated, "You doing all of this for a failure to signal. Right, yeah, yeah -- let's take this to court!"
5. A 5,000 bail amount is unreasonable for Sandra's "assault" and "combativeness." When Hope Solo, American soccer goalkeeper, was combative during arrest for assault and told cops, "You're such a b**** if I wasn't in handcuffs I'd kick your a**," but had all charges dismissed.
6. The edited, media released mugshot appears Sandra laying down on the floor, vertical straight shoulders, hair falling behind her, dark shadows behind her head, and an open view of her nostrils. The unedited mugshot appears to be Sandra in a corpse state.
7. There is no side mugshot.
8. She was in orange uniform, which is rare at the time of booking.
9. Sandra was 6' tall, the shower partition was approximately 5 feet high.
10. Trash cans aren't normally in jail cells -- especially ones of that size.
11. Allegedly, the trash bag she hung herself with was black, but the replaced trash bag in the cell photo was white.
12. She relocated to Texas from Chicago specially for a new position at her alumni -- PVAMU.
13. She knew her purpose was "to stop social injustice in the South."
14. She spoke out on racism, injustice, and police brutality through social media to educate the masses. #SandySpeaks.
In conclusion, these are my 14 reasons why I do not believe Sandra Bland committed suicide, but was murdered. Sandra Bland was a strong melanted woman. Sandra Bland was a warrior. Sandra Bland was an activist and that is how she should be remembered.
