The new fashion trends have been announced so out with the old and in with the new. Which new fashion trends will you strut this fall and winter?

Paris, London, New York, and Milan Fashion Weeks are where we look throughout the year to view the next big trends. Last year’s fashion weeks brought us midi-skirts, capes, plaid and pointed toe shoes. Although some of fall 2014/winter 2015 trends have me cringing, the majority of these trends have me jumping for joy! Let’s take a look at some of the most talked about trends of this year.

HOOYAH!: The military trend has returned but now with a twist. With the 2013 popular combat boot, we knew this trend was coming. This year’s trend is the past structured military with a nautical twist. We will see thick jackets with the large gold buttons, wool skirts and deep pleated pants. The new military look will be a great trend for fall. I mean, who doesn’t like army green or navy?

Rawr!: Leopard is THE print flooding the runways. It has been seen on tops, bags, skirts, pants, and even jackets. The best part about leopard print is it’s easy pairing with many colors. Gold accessories, solid black separates, and leopard look so chic. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing a lot of leopard, adding a pair of leopard pumps or flats gives a dull outfit some spice!

Fringe With Benefits: Even though this trend began in the spring of 2014, fringe has continued to be a favorite style this fall/winter. Fringe on basically anything is better than no fringe at all. This 20’s inspired trend gives clothes flare, movement and texture. It has the power of changing a simple dress into a fun, elegant, or detailed dress. It doesn’t stop at just clothing; fringe is seen on bags, shoes and even jewelry. This trend is a must have in every closet, even if it is just on a handbag or a pair of shoes. This fall trend will have everyone out there shakin’ their fringe!

This Shoe Doesn’t Fit: Another new fall trend, straight off the runway and seen being worn by celebrities, has me puzzled. What trend would I be talking about? Tennis shoes. The latest street and runway fashion has tennis shoes as a must have accessory. While a pair of Converse is an item found in the majority of college girl’s closets, the tennis shoes I am referring to are from Nike, Adidas and more. These athletic companies have “stylized” their tennis shoes to be worn as a fashion accessory. Stylized athletic shoes are being paired with pantsuits, skirts, and everything else. I can’t bring myself to follow this trend....at least not yet. What about you? Will you be walking out in your tennis shoes and pencil skirt?

Howdy: North West might be the most famous celebrity baby but, the southwest style has become quite a poplar style this fall. Blake Lively was gloriously featured in this latest style in August’s Vogue modeling the “pioneer spirit”. Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, Alexis Mabille and many more designers displayed southwestern inspired pieces within their collections. The warm colors heavy fabrics, such as suede and wool, makes the southwestern style perfect for this fall. My favorite part of this style is it also incorporates Native American/Aztec inspired pieces.

Man, I Feel Like a Woman!: Fall/Winter 2014/15 give us 56 colors arranged in 7 palettes to choose from! The runways of the 2014 Fashion Week show us movement back to feminine looks and shapes. One trend in 2013 was the masculine, straight lines, plain yet edgy “boyfriend” look. Although this look still appeared in some collections this fall, a more feminine look is taking over. Romantic silhouettes with lace, elegant styles, defined waists, and an overall softer look dominated the runway.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
