Alpha Chi Omega: Golden Retriever
Golden retrievers take the best of the labrador, and then add some fluff. Goldens are playful, loving, and just want to have fun, just like Alpha Chi Omegas. They love nothing more than making others happy. Not to mention, they're adorable.
Alpha Delta Pi: Basset Hound
Sometimes mistaken as lazy, basset hounds love to lay around with their family. But basset hounds are anything but lazy. They were originally bred as hunting and tracking dogs, meaning that they are very keen and focused. When the day is done, though, they never mind lounging around with their best pals, but who doesn't?
Chi Omega: German Shepherd
I know what you're thinking; I should have chosen golden retriever. But after careful consideration, German shepherds are known for their loyalty and their focus. They also are very sweet, unless someone threatens a member of their pack. Putting on philanthropies like Chi O takes more than a golden retriever's love, but a german shepherd's determination.
Delta Delta Delta: Border Collie
The real question is: what can't a border collie do? They are intelligent, athletic, and excellent herders (not unlike Tri Delt's success in recruitment). The strength of the dog is on a case by case basis, some are just plain playful while others excel in learning new tasks and athleticism.
Delta Gamma: Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
These dogs are easily recognizable, looking like royalty as their name suggests. Well groomed and polished, these dogs love to be around people. They will follow their owners everywhere, as they are truly a dog made for companionship. Delta Gammas also love people, and are never afraid to strike up a new friendship.
Delta Zeta: French Bulldog
French bulldogs thrive on human contact. They are free thinkers, but that does not keep them from loving their companions. These cute little dogs can also be rather mischievous , due to their intelligence.
Gamma Phi Beta: Saint Bernard
Often described as an oversized puppy, the Saint Bernard is always looking for fun. These huggable dogs are truly in it for the long run, as their loyalty outlives their lives. They were originally used as hospice dogs, do to their welcoming and calming personality. How can you be playful and calm at the same time? I'm not sure, but the Saint Bernard and Gamma Phi Beta have figured it out.
Kappa Alpha Theta: Jack Russel Terrier
Adorable and sweet, yet very deceivingly athletic. The Jack Russel is a small dog with loads of energy. He is loyal to his owner and weary of strangers, but still maintains a loving attitude. Most unique about this dog, though, is the amazing athletic abilities that are packed into such a petite pup. Just like theta, super sweet, yet surprisingly fierce. (Congrats on the Flag Football win, girls.)
Kappa Delta: Beagle
Adorable, sweet, friendly, however you want to put it. The beagle is the perfect playmate for anyone, with their happy grins and wagging tails. A beagle is happy to see everyone. While they are known for their cute and friendly demeanor, the beagle is also incredibly intelligent, just like Kappa Delta.
Kappa Kappa Gamma: Siberian Husky
The husky, like Kappas, can be completely misinterpreted. With a strong prey drive (watch out, girls) and a driven attitude, the husky can be intimidating to many first time dog owners. But any husky lover can attest, these dogs are as goofy as every behind closed doors, and they LOVE to have fun.
Pi Beta Phi: Labrador Retriever
One of the most popular family pets, the Lab is a happy dog full of energy and playfulness. Like Pi Phi, this dog is happiest being around its family, especially during playtime (whether that's crafting and going to bars- depends on the Pi Phi).
Zeta Tau Alpha: Standard Poodle
The poodle is most known for their beautiful coat, much like the Zeta's striking hair and outfits. Yet, under the poodles beautiful curly hair is a dog that is ready to roll around in the mud as much as the next one. Athletic, powerful and energetic, the poodle is more than just their looks.
