Being Basic Is Not An Option This Halloween

Double Mint Twins. Think lime green mini skirt paired with a white tank. White tennis shoes, plus white knee highs. To take it to the next level, make sure you have a lime green scarf or head band. Print off the double mint label and smack it on your tank. Ta da, you are fresh to death!

Couple of the century -- Barbie and Ken. Wear a sassy pink mini, and slap a suit and tie on your man. Then, test your crafting skills and create a life-sized Barbie and Ken box to hang out in all night. Disclaimer -- your boyfriend will hate you for this, but it is so cute, who cares?

Scoops of cute. Who does not love ice cream? Get a group of your sweetest friends and create as many flavors as the heart desires. All you need are different colored t-shirts with cut out multicolored sprinkles, cream fabric for a skirt. Stick a red bow in your hair for the perfect cherry-on-top!

Lauren Poppins. Typical Lauren Conrad behavior -- making everything absolutely perfect. LC recreated the classic Mary Poppins look. All you need is an A-line black skirt, black stockings, white button down and your boyfriend’s favorite red bow tie. Pair it with a black hat and a funky umbrella, and you are set! This look can also double as a couples costume -- have the boo dress as a chimney sweep. Bonus: you get to rub black stuff all over his face. So fun.

Trolls. This is such sassy idea for a big group of ladies. Pull out the best Carrie Bradshaw naked dress you can find, wear neutral shoes and have everyone get outrageous different colored troll wigs.

Fat Tuesday. This is not your everyday Mardi Gras look. Skip the beads and feathers, and find a sweat suit spacious enough to stuff with pillows and fluff. Once you are nice and rotund, write “TUESDAY” on a piece of paper and stick it on your chest. This is a hilarious crowd-pleaser.

Mermaid and sailor. We all want to be mermaids; I am pretty sure that is a fact. For inspiration on this look turn to Kim Kardashian and Kanye. Almost positive this is the first time he allowed her to wear anything, but neutral colors.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono. This is the ultimate celebrity couple look. Have your boyfriend adorn some jeans, a graphic tee and those notorious Lennon circle glasses. As for Yoko, throw on one of those floppy hats, big sunglasses and boots. I know we all hate Yoko, but we love this look!

Paula Deen and her truest love. Dress up as Paula Deen and have your date dress up as a stick of butter. Butter is also my true love, so this feels like a really relatable costume.

Jack and Jill. Fell down a hill! For this look, dress up in children’s clothes and then get a little messy. Tease your hair, throw a couple fake scratches and eye shadow bruises on. For good measure, throw on an arm brace. This is a clever and funny look that people will be sure to notice.

Disney princesses. Perfect for a group of diverse ladies. Have you and your gal pals use tulle to recreate Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Pocahontas, Belle and Jasmine.

Spice Girls. So, tell me what you want, what you really want! This is such an oldie, but goodie. Get a group of five girls to recreate the spunky looks of Posh Spice, Sporty Spice, Scary Spice, Ginger Spice and Baby Spice.

The seasons. Use homemade tulle skirts and tube tops as the staples for these outfits. Winter: use white or silver colors and snowflakes for accessories. Spring: pinks, greens, yellows and purple. Use fake flowers to make a festive headdress! Summer: use sunflowers and sunshine as your inspiration! Lots of yellow and sparkle. Fall: oranges, copper and gold are the perfect colors to utilize. Use fake leaves for a finishing touch.

Britney Spears. This is an original idea for a group costume! Have your friends all dress in the many iconic looks of Britney Spears. The school girl, the flight attendant, the fedoras -- leave nothing out. Except maybe the bald look. Leave that out.

Lilo & Stitch. Ohana means family. This is the perfect big and little costume. For Stitch, wear a green mini and red tube top paired with a headdress made of fake leaves. Stitch needs a blue mini, blue tube top and a red choker makes a perfect collar. Don’t forget two blue ears for the final touch!

Damian from Mean Girls. All you need is a blue hooded sweat shirt and black sunglasses. Pair this with a “SHE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE!” sign and you are guaranteed to be the funniest gal in the room.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
