7 Reasons Why Donald Trump Should Be Our Next President

Ignoring the obvious electability of Trump’s divorces, bankruptcies, and reality television shows, these reasons are focused on the purely political reasons why Trump should be checked off on your primary and presidential ballot. For the sake of argument, I’ve tried to keep out issues that tend to fall strictly along party lines (gay rights, abortion, gun laws, etc.).

1. He supported China’s violent actions against the Tiananmen Square protesters, saying, “The Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength.” One of America’s cornerstones is the freedom of speech and protest, but with all this political correctness nowadays, the best way to make America great again is to discourage free speech and protest. Trump supporters are too busy asking the hard-hitting questions like "Who is Tiananmen?" and "Why does he get a square?"

2. Former KKK leader David Duke has expressed support for Trump, an endearing and surprising endorsement for the candidate. Racism has long been a part of American culture, and so the people responsible for lynchings, killings, and violent protests are a microcosm of this historically relevant view on the world. Nothing is more American than hatred for others, and Trump represents this perfectly. When asked about his views toward this, he did not condemn the endorsement, saying “I don’t know. I don’t know -- did he endorse me or what’s going on? Because I know nothing about David Duke; I know nothing about white supremacists.” His reluctance to repudiate this support has not been supported by the GOP, with Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Mitt Romney having slight disagreements. Trump’s ability to not immediately reject terrorist and hate groups shows how amazing he is in honoring American traditions. This lends well to his motto…

3. Make American Great Again is nothing short of inspiring. In the face of all this political correctness, we should go back to when times were easy and when no one cared about hurting anyone’s feelings. It’s clear that not pandering to the minority is the only way to achieve real progress, and so the logical solution is to do what is best for the greatest number of people. It just so happens, the greatest number of people think they deserve a better water fountain. Make American Great Again!

4. Barring Muslims from the United States is the best option in cutting down terrorism, especially since you as an American are 7 times more likely to be killed by a white extremist than by Muslim terrorists. 93 percent of Muslims do not in any way support extremist views while white supremacy extremist views are growing. White people can’t be terrorists, though, so Muslims are the problem. It’ll be super easy to bar them from the country, too, since your religion is on travel visas, green cards, and passports. The pesky Bill of Rights stating “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion” is more of a guideline anyway. ISIS kills more Muslims than westerners, so the best way to stop ISIS is to keep their largest pool of victims from finding asylum. Good call, Don!

5. The wall. The beautiful, wonderful, tall wall. We need a wall. You can’t dispute the fact that we need a wall on the Mexican border to keep Mexicans from streaming into the United States like they do now. Between 2009 and 2014, about 870,000 Mexicans came into the United States, while one million Mexicans returned to Mexico permanently. A quick math calculation will show you that clearly, we need a wall. A really, really big wall.

6. International entities respect Donald Trump, they really do. His guts are widely admired and will make for smooth international relations. Here are some quotes in response to Trump’s proposed ban on Muslims from our allies and friends overseas.

1. Great Britain (PM David Cameron): “divisive, unhelpful, and quite simply wrong."

2. France (PM Manuel Valls): “Mr. Trump stokes hatred: our only enemy is radical Islam.”

3. Canada (Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion): “it’s something that we can’t accept in Canada. We have never been as far removed from what we’ve just heard in the United States.”

4. United Arab Emirates (Dubai business leader Khalaf Al Habtoor): “I had to admit I made a mistake supporting Mr. Trump. He is creating a hatred between Muslims and the United States of America."

5. Israel (Columnist Chemi Shalev): “[the remarks] must have delighted the Caliph, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi [the leader of ISIS]."

6. Indonesia (President’s daughter, Yenny Wahid): “I think the perspective of people here in Indonesia is that they see Donald Trump as a loser. We don’t really take his comments seriously.”

7. Trump's popularity continues to rise even though he has insulted Mexicans, POWs, women on their periods, a woman's appearance, the entire state of Iowa, disabled people, and Muslims.

Now that we’ve established Donald Trump is the best candidate to run our great nation, here’s a fun quiz.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
